Dr. Michelle Langenfeld's School Board Campaign

A Benchmark in Digital Campaign Efficiency


Role: Copywriter, Designer, Digital Strategist

Objective: To navigate and triumph in the high-stakes scenario of launching a school board campaign for Dr. Michelle Langenfeld in less than a month—a task typically spread over six months. This rapid deployment was necessitated by the unexpected need to take over from a previous campaign direction.

Strategy and Execution: Leading the charge on digital strategy, I implemented Meta and Google ads, aligning all campaign content with Dr. Langenfeld’s authentic voice. In close collaboration with the campaign manager and Dr. Langenfeld herself, we ensured a seamless transition and a powerful, cohesive message. My role extended beyond strategy to hands-on creation of engaging social media graphics, mailers, and print ads, maintaining consistency and impact across all platforms.

Results: Dr. Langenfeld's successful election, winning 54.53% of the vote, was significantly bolstered by our digital strategy, to which she graciously attributes much of her victory. While we are flattered by her praise, it’s clear that her qualities as the right candidate played a crucial role. Our modest digital ad spend not only demonstrated extraordinary efficiency, delivering results at a fraction of the cost typically seen in the industry, but also showcased our ability to significantly outperform competitor agencies in both cost-effectiveness and impact.

Reflection: This campaign demonstrated the critical importance of agility and collaboration in high-pressure situations. My ability to lead both strategically and creatively under tight deadlines played a key role in navigating the challenges we faced. This experience has not only honed my skills but also reinforced my capability to deliver exceptional results in any circumstance.
